Aberdeen

CAC House of Prayer Aberdeen began in March 2021 at Dee Street, Aberdeen. It was founded as a Christian worshipping community dedicated to prayer, biblical teaching, spiritual growth and fellowship. From the beginning, the church sought to provide a welcoming environment where individuals and families could worship God, grow in faith and support one another.

The church was established during the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite the uncertainty and restrictions of that period, its members remained committed to building a strong, prayer-centred congregation. The church’s beginnings at Dee Street laid the foundation for a community united by faith, love and a shared desire to serve God.

In June 2021, three months after its establishment, CAC House of Prayer Aberdeen moved from Dee Street to The Father’s House in Rosemount. This new location provided the congregation with a place to continue its worship services, prayer meetings and other church activities. During its time at The Father’s House, the church strengthened its fellowship and continued pursuing its mission of sharing the message of Jesus Christ.

Through the leading of the Holy Spirit and according to Matthew 25:35–45, the leadership of the assembly birthed a foodbank, the CACHOPA Foodbank, in early 2022 to serve members and the community around Rosemount and beyond.

As part of the wider Christ Apostolic Church tradition, CAC House of Prayer Aberdeen places a strong emphasis on prayer, the work of the Holy Spirit, sound biblical teaching and practical Christian living. Through worship, prayer and fellowship, the church encourages its members to develop a closer relationship with God and to serve others with compassion.

In October 2024, the church began another chapter in its history by moving to Inchgarth Community Centre. This move provided a new setting for the congregation to worship, grow and connect with the wider Aberdeen community, and reflected the church’s continuing development since its humble beginnings in March 2021.

Today, CAC House of Prayer Aberdeen stands as a testimony to God’s faithfulness throughout its journey from Dee Street to The Father’s House and then to Inchgarth Community Centre. The church remains committed to being a house of prayer, a place of spiritual transformation and a welcoming home for all, as shown by the appointment of two deaconesses and two deacons in May 2026.

As it looks towards the future, it continues to strengthen believers, share the gospel of Jesus Christ and make a positive contribution to the lives of people in Aberdeen, as many lives and families continue to be blessed with signs and wonders, and testimonies of healing, deliverance, progress and prosperity.

The Name of the Lord be praised forever as we return all the glory to God for His marvellous deeds, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
